Job Title: Duty Manager
Department: Front of House
Purpose of Role: To co ordinate and oversee the smooth running of service so that each customer has a positive and memorable experience at Bewley's Grafton street. To coach and mentor our team to always deliver the very best in hospitality with impeccable food and beverage standards.
Responsible to: General Manager
Main Duties:
- Always striving to achieve our Mission Statement of “Delight the Senses”.
- Responsible for the smooth running of service inline with our service standards and SOPs.
- Customer care, including complaint handling and feedback.
- Ongoing coaching and development with the junior members of our team.
- Maintaining standards, including uniforms, food presentation, tea and coffee excellence, and impeccable customer service.
- Administration, including care of cash, time and attendance management, checklists, fire safety, HACCP, hygiene, health and safety and similar.
- To be aware of the day’s business in all areas within the business and accurate daily reporting of business at the close of day.
- Management of the daily roster to co ordinate the staffing needs.
- Employee Relations & Performance Management with the assistance of the GM & HR Department.
- To ensure good inter departmental co-operations and communication maintained at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- A great communicator with both team members and customers alike.
- Possess a positive and pragmatic attitude.
- Have the ability to multitask with a keen eye for detail.
Rate of pay: €15.50 per hour plus tips
