Job Description

The Shamrock Lodge Hotel is now recruiting an experienced Guest Relations Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure a positive experience for all our guests.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the Shamrock Lodge Hotel is busy wedding and meeting and event venue, with a strong local food and beverage business.

Supported by a friendly and experienced team, our Guest Relations Manager will add to the warm and welcoming environment, for which the Shamrock Lodge is so well-known.

You will be passionate & enthusiastic about hospitality, enjoy serving and interacting with guests to enhance their experience, during their stay. You will encourage, support and develop the team and continually enhance and our service and guest experience.

Our aim is to ensure that when our guests are leaving, that they are planning their return, whether it be for business or pleasure and if you feel you can deliver this, then we'd love to have you on our management team!

Responsibilities

  • To oversee the operation of the Hotel while on duty and, ensure that a consistently high standard/quality of service, product and customer care is delivered at all times
  • Ensure full knowledge of all Bedrooms and Front of House operations whilst supporting upcoming Weddings, meetings and events
  • To assist with the management of the hotel’s daily operations, ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service from each department.
  • To ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints.
  • To make sound decisions in a fast-paced and busy environment, sometimes in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Train team members on SOP's and continuously carry out training to ensure consistency of our standards
  • To report accidents & fill out accident report forms where necessary.
  • To cover in various departments as necessary
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Any other duties as requested by management

Skills and experience required

  • This is a senior role so previous experience in a similar role in a 4 Star property is essential
  • Proven experience in providing the highest standards in Guest care and the ability to resolve Guest care issues in a meaningful and practical manner
  • Warm, friendly and engaging personality, with a passion for hospitality and excellence in guest care
  • The ability to work under pressure, demonstrate strong organizational skills and possess high levels of attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team
  • Experience in planning and delivering leisure and corporate requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From €35,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Guest Relations/ Duty Manager: 1 year (preferred)
